Purpose:
Help give every family member a warm and organized welcome by distributing name tags and family bracelets as guests arrive.

• Arrive at the welcome table before the scheduled check-in time and assist with setup.
• Greet family members with a warm and friendly welcome.
• Ask each guest for their name and locate their prepared name tag.
• Distribute the appropriate family bracelet to each guest.
• Assist guests who cannot locate their name tag or need a replacement.
• Keep the name tag and bracelet area neat and organized throughout check-in.
•  Have fun and help set a positive tone for the reunion!

 Purpose:
Help bring our family together in gratitude by offering a prayer or blessing during Day 1's Event.

• Be prepared to offer a prayer or blessing when scheduled.
• Give the opening prayer to welcome family and set a positive tone for the event, if assigned.
• Offer a blessing before family meals, if assigned.
• Keep prayers heartfelt, uplifting, and appropriate for the entire family.
• Keep the prayer or blessing brief so the event can remain on schedule.

We’re looking for someone who is:

• Comfortable praying or speaking in front of the family
• Dependable and prepared
• Warm and encouraging

Purpose:
Help honor and remember our beloved family members who are no longer with us by presenting a meaningful poem during the Family Memorial.

• Read the selected memorial poem during the designated portion of the program.
• Review and practice the poem in advance to ensure a smooth and heartfelt presentation.
• Speak clearly, slowly, and with warmth so everyone can hear and reflect on the words.
• Arrive early and be prepared when the Memorial begins.

We’re looking for someone who is:

• Comfortable speaking in front of the family
• Dependable and prepared

Purpose:
Help us celebrate and recognize family members for special milestones, accomplishments, contributions, and memorable moments during our Family Reunion.

• Present designated awards, certificates, gifts, or special recognitions during the program.
• Briefly explain each award or recognition before announcing the recipient.
• Present each recognition in a warm, enthusiastic, and respectful manner.
• Encourage the family to celebrate and applaud each recipient.

We’re looking for someone who is:

• Comfortable speaking in front of the family
• Friendly, energetic, and engaging
• Enthusiastic about celebrating others

Purpose:
Help open our Family Reunion program with a meaningful and uplifting performance of “Lift Every Voice and Sing,” often referred to as the Black National Anthem.

• Perform “Lift Every Voice and Sing” during the designated portion of the Family Reunion program.
• Practice and prepare in advance for a confident and heartfelt performance.

We’re looking for someone who is:

• Comfortable singing in front of the family
• Prepared and dependable

Purpose:
Help make our Family Reunion raffle fun, exciting, fair, and organized while giving family members an opportunity to win some great prizes!

• Assist with distributing tickets, as directed by the Reunion Committee.
• Keep raffle tickets, containers, prizes, and other materials organized.
• Assist the host with drawing and announcing winning ticket numbers or names.
• Verify winning tickets and help distribute prizes to the correct winners.
• Encourage family members to participate and help create excitement around the raffle.

We’re looking for someone who is:

• Friendly and enthusiastic
• Dependable and organized
• Ready to have fun and keep the energy going!

Purpose:
Help create a fun, lively, and entertaining Family Karaoke event where everyone feels comfortable joining in, laughing, singing, and making great family memories.

• Co-host the Family Karaoke event alongside the other host.
• Welcome the family and briefly explain how karaoke will work.
• Introduce singers and keep the program moving smoothly.
• Bring energy, humor, and personality to the event while keeping it family-friendly.
• Encourage family members of all ages to participate—especially those who may need a little extra encouragement!
• Engage with the audience between performances and help avoid long periods of downtime.
• Encourage fun family sing-alongs, duets, and friendly competitions.
• Recognize participants and celebrate every performance—regardless of singing ability!
• Work with your co-host to keep the energy flowing and the family laughing.

• Comfortable speaking in front of a crowd
• Able to think on their feet
• Naturally engaging and encouraging
• Able to work well with a co-host
• Ready to laugh, have fun, and get the family involved!
